From the moment you arrive in 42 Istanbul, you will learn the delicacies of programming and after your first professional experience, you will be able to continue your education in any technical branch you wish. While our campus is completely free and face-to-face, it is open 24/7, and is waiting for you to set your own learning pace!

NO COURSES. NO TEACHERS. NO CLASSES.

Thanks to its innovative teaching methods, 42 is able to offer training par excellence without resorting to lectures. The pedagogical staff is available to help the students find their own solutions. In order to progress at 42, you have to work in groups, lean with the community to overcome challenges and then, share your experience with your peers. You don’t learn programming by copying algorithms on paper!

A PROJECT METHOD

At 42, students act for their own success within a 100% practical curriculum. Surpassing oneself is the only way to move forward: You can always count on the strength of the group; give and share information, as well as learn and train at the same time. This growing collective intelligence helps students understand how a professional environment works. Each part must rely on the other in order to properly achieve a project.

FAILING IS PROCESSING

At 42, failing is not the end. It is AN end. It’s the path to success: test a program, understand your mistakes, correct them and move forward. At 42, you are rewarded for finding your own solutions. This is not about mindlessly copying a model. Achievement is the only thing that matters, whichever path you use to reach it.

PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING

An education model without a teacher doesn’t mean many things to struggle. In 42, education is provided by learning from each other, unlike a traditional education model. There is no instructor at the school because everyone first does their own research to complete the projects defined for them. Then everyone on campus makes up for each other's shortcomings. Because this education model does not involve competition, it reinforces the environment of cooperation.

PEER-TO-PEER EVALUATION

Each project is scored as a result of one AI and two peer reviews. In the traditional model of education, assessment takes place at the end of the programme, while this process is the foundation of learning in 42. Students evaluate each other's projects with the help of a scale created by the pedagogical staff. The system is based on students' learning from each other while evaluating each other and includes mutual dialogue.

GROUP WORK IS NOT CHEATING

In a classroom, it’s usually ill-advised to join forces or share advice in order to solve a problem. At 42, it’s the other way around. When projects get too tough to tackle, creating a group helps share different points of view. By approaching someone struggling with the same problem, you can share your thoughts and perspectives. Everyone brings something so that, together, you can understand and remember the keys to achieving a project.

THE CHOICE OF PROFESSIONALIZATION

INTERNSHIPS

In your 42 journey towards the professional software world, the events, which are organized frequently with important institutions and individuals, will provide you easy access to new job and internship opportunities. When you complete the first part of the curriculum, you must complete the internship phase. Although there are no mandatory starting periods, completion is mandatory. Students are free to complete the internship as they wish (full-time or part-time).
